BIO

Me (right) with Jay Harris from ESPN SportscenterI'm a thirty something creative guy who loves what I do. It wasn't always that way though.

After getting a degree in design I had difficulty finding employment. I didn't want the corporate route that had more security, instead I wanted to be where creativity was king. Those environments are volatile and when an account went elsewhere, so did my job. As you can imagine I became disillusioned with the industry and while I remained a freelancer I started a career in home building and remodeling.

At the time I hated that line of work but it was all for my good as I have used those skills time and again for the good of others and my own needs. That stint lasted only about 4 years but it was an incredible learning experience. I have succeeded in that area, but failed in another when I took three years of my life to start a retail business. Although that failure was one of the more difficult events in my life, it was again a valuable teaching lesson.

For the past several years I have been solely committed to my design, specifically in web. I started with site development 10 years ago and have found it to be a great joy and challenge. For the past four years I have been contracted to ESPN, developing and maintaining a dozen event sites that ESPN owns and operates. I have other clients as well for which I do a myriad of services in print and web design.

On this site you will learn about me, what I believe, what my hobbies are and what inspires me. Why put this up for the world to see? Simple really, I hope to inspire others even if just in some small way that will make them think or act in a way that makes them a better person for having been to my site.

Enjoy.
